These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your participation in and use of communication services provided by Direct Action Everywhere (“DxE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including but not limited to email, SMS/text messaging, and Signal messenger groups (collectively, the “Services”). By opting into or using any of these Services, you agree to these Terms.
DxE uses email, SMS/text messaging, and Signal messenger groups to communicate with supporters about our campaigns, petitions, events, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising efforts. Communications may include donation requests, activism updates, event logistics, and other organizational information.
Message frequency varies. During major campaigns or events, you may receive several messages per day if you are registered for those events. Otherwise, typical communication includes:
* Email: approximately five (5) messages per week.
* SMS/Text Messaging: a few messages per month, unless otherwise noted at signup.
* Signal Messenger: typically one (1) message per week, though frequency may vary depending on group activity.
You may opt in to receive communications from DxE through one or more of the following:
* Submitting your information via a signup form on directactioneverywhere.com or other authorized petition or form.
* Providing your information when registering for an event.
* Accepting an invitation or joining a DxE group on Signal messenger.
You may opt out of communications at any time using the methods below:
* Email: Click the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email.
* SMS/Text Messaging: Reply “STOP” to any SMS message to cancel. For assistance, reply “HELP.”
* Signal Messenger: Leave the group using Signal’s built-in functionality.
Please note that leaving one channel (e.g., SMS) does not automatically remove you from all channels (e.g., email).
Message and data rates may apply to SMS messages. Message frequency varies. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
