Animal Rights Recap 8/18/2017

32 activists with the Swedish animal rights group Tomma Burar physically blocked a slaughter truck carrying cows to their death. The activists refused to leave and the police carried them away.

Just a week after the arrest of a DxE activist during a nonviolent protest at a Berkeley restaurant, Berkeley police targeted another DxE activist, charging him with "illegal lodging" for locking himself inside of a cage to raise awareness about the millions of animals who are caged by exploitative industries.

An activist with Bay Area Animal Save was arrested after sitting in front of a truck bringing innocent birds to slaughter.
