Petaluma Poultry Products No Longer Carried by Marin County Grocer

The grocery chain Good Earth Natural Foods shared in a March 5 email and in signage placed around its stores it has decided to stop carrying Rosie’s Chicken in its stores. Rosie’s is produced by Petaluma Poultry, a subsidiary of Perdue Farms. The decision, according to the posted notices, was because “We have concerns around their animal handling practices and the lack of transparency into their operations.”

Members of Direct Action Everywhere dressed in hazmat suits and acted out a mock “necropsy” of a stuffed goat inside the store.
